Terms and conditions

Last updated: 26 October 2026.

These general terms apply to every GigBack competition and membership. Each competition also has its own specific terms, which take precedence where they differ:

1. About us

GigBack is operated by GigBack LTD, Global Link, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN | Company number 17423803 | ICO Number ZC238378. References to "we" and "us" mean GigBack LTD.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to enter any competition. We may refuse or cancel any entry from a person we reasonably believe does not meet these requirements.

3. Paid skill based competitions

Every paid GigBack competition is a skill based prize competition under section 14 of the Gambling Act 2005. Each paid competition publishes its own skill question, its answer options and the rule for deciding the correct answer, together with the version of that question that applied when you entered. To be entered into the draw you must answer the published skill question for that competition correctly. Incorrect answers will not be refunded.

4. Free to enter giveaways

Some GigBack promotions are free to enter and are clearly labelled as such on the competition page. A free giveaway is a free prize draw: there is no purchase, no payment and no skill question. Entry is limited to one entry per GigBack account, and the winner is selected at random from all valid entries. The skill question rules in clause 3 do not apply to free giveaways.

5. Free postal entry to paid competitions

You may enter any paid competition free of charge by post. The full instructions are published on the postal entry page and form part of these terms. Valid postal entries are treated identically to valid paid entries: they are allocated an entry number in the same pool and are included in exactly the same draw, with the same chance of winning.

6. Closing date and the draw

Each competition has a published closing date. The draw will take place within seven days of that date. The winner is selected at random from all valid entries (paid, Founder, referral and postal alike) using a verifiable random number generator. The result is final.

7. Prizes

Prizes are as described on each competition page. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Where a prize includes travel or accommodation, the winner must be available on the published dates. Where a prize includes hospitality, the winner must comply with the venue dress code and house rules.

8. Contacting the winner

We will contact the winner using the contact details on their account. If we cannot reach the winner within 14 days, we reserve the right to redraw the prize.

9. Cancellation rights

Because each entry is for a competition that opens immediately, the 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once you have entered.

10. Account suspension

We may suspend or close any account we reasonably believe has been used in breach of these terms, for fraud, or for any abusive behaviour towards our staff or partners.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to any entrant is limited to the value of the entries that entrant has placed in the competition concerned.

12. Our Grassroots Music Profit Commitment

GigBack is committed to directing 100% of its annual profits back into the UK grassroots music scene. Support may be provided to grassroots music organisations, venues and eligible charities.

For this commitment, annual profit means GigBack’s positive profit for the relevant financial year, calculated in accordance with its annual accounts after legitimate business operating costs, prize costs, staff costs, professional fees and applicable taxes, but before contributions made under this commitment.

GigBack may make provisional contributions during the financial year where its financial position and cash flow allow. Once the annual accounts have been completed, GigBack will calculate the total commitment, deduct any qualifying contributions already made for that year and contribute the remaining balance.

GigBack may not generate a profit during every financial year, particularly during its early stages. If no annual profit is generated, there will be no profit to distribute for that year. This does not change GigBack’s continuing commitment to support UK grassroots music when annual profits are generated.

GigBack intends to publish an annual impact update explaining the total amount contributed and the organisations or projects supported.

GigBack LTD is a private limited company and is not a registered charity. Entry payments are not donations, and no fixed or immediate contribution is attached to an entry or individual competition. This commitment does not alter the operation of any competition, the allocation of any prize or the rights of any participant.

13. GigBack Founder entry

GigBack Founder entry is not a competition or prize draw. It is a one-off £20 entry that makes you a GigBack Founder for life and gives you a lifetime Founder entry: one free entry into every competition GigBack publishes, paid and free, for as long as GigBack operates. Founder entry is strictly limited to one per person. We identify unique people by email address and verified mobile number, and we may cancel and refund any additional Founder entry bought by the same person on another account.

Each Founder's free entry is reserved automatically and confirmed once the Founder answers that competition's skill question on the competition page before it closes. A correct answer is required for the entry to qualify, as with every other entry. Founder entries are personal to the account holder, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn if the account is closed or used in breach of these terms.

14. Referral rewards

Share the personal referral code shown in your account. When a different customer uses it for a successfully paid and fulfilled competition purchase, the code owner earns three free entries to that same competition. Each buyer can qualify once per code owner per competition. A code owner can earn rewards from up to five different buyers per competition, giving a maximum of 15 free entries. Self-referrals, free entries, memberships and unpaid or unsuccessful purchases do not qualify. Test payments do not earn live rewards.

Rewards are personal, cannot be exchanged for cash or moved to another competition, and must be claimed on the competition page before its closing deadline. The code owner must meet the competition eligibility rules, have confirmed their email and answer its skill question correctly. Claims are subject to remaining entry availability; a reward does not reserve entries. Claimed valid referral entries join the same draw with the same chance per entry. A refunded purchase revokes its associated reward and, before the draw, removes any entries claimed from it. Refunded referrals still count towards the five-buyer limit; completed draws are not rerun.

15. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
